What’s in a name anyway?  The word GOFASA is derived from the beginning letter of each of the 6 small communities in Star Valley, Wyoming, which is served by Osmond Elementary School.  These communities include; Grover, Osmond, Fairview, Afton, Smoot, and Auburn.  The GOFASA Adventure Club (GAC) was started in the summer of 2003 by Jeff & Diana Whitney and principal Kelly Tolman.  Inception of the program was to inspire kids to connect with the environment, develop persistence, learn goal setting, and make healthy choices.  Kids gain islands of competence simply by learning to be comfortable in wilderness situations.  We believe that this confidence and the skills learned will last a lifetime.
